Xbox Series S to Launch with 1TB Storage in Black for $349 on September 1st
During the Summer Game Fest, Phil Spencer, the CEO of Xbox Game Studios, revealed the latest addition to the Xbox Series S lineup. The new console model will come in a stylish “carbon black” color and offer 1TB of storage, which is twice the previous amount. The console is set to launch on September 1st, just in time for the release of the highly anticipated game, Starfield, on September 6th.
“Whether you’re looking to upgrade from your current console or are new to Xbox, the Xbox Series S – 1TB gives you another option in the Xbox family of devices,” Xbox senior marketing manager Bree Adams said in a blog post today. It also says that its carbon black color is “the same sleek, modern matte finish” found on the Xbox Series X and Xbox Wireless Controller. “This console has the same next-generation speed and performance as our 512GB Series S, now with double the storage space so you can load even more of your favorite games onto your console, ready to play when you are.”
You can pre-order the console later today on Xbox and the Microsoft Store.
